1. The Service
Welcome to DoYours. These Terms of Service are a legally binding agreement between you and the DoYours team about your use of the service. Please read them carefully and make sure you understand all of them before using the service. When you indicate your agreement in the app or start using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted all of these Terms, including any changes we make from time to time. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the service. The service is suitable for people of all ages. If you have not reached the age of majority in your country or region, please read these Terms with your legal guardian and use the service only with their consent. DoYours is an app for keeping to-dos and reminding you by time or place; you can share with group members and use AI to turn a sentence into a task, turn a meeting recording into an outline and action items, or turn a photo (such as a school contact book or a note) into to-dos. We reserve the right to change, suspend or stop some or all of the service at any time without prior notice. We may change the form, features and interface design of the service, and will announce this by appropriate means. You understand and agree that the service may be temporarily interrupted or stopped due to software upgrades, server maintenance, network failures, policy adjustments and similar reasons. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance, but we are not liable for any loss this causes.
2. Account Registration and Management
You can start as a guest, sign up as a member, or sign in with a Google or Apple account. When you sign up, you must provide true, accurate, complete and lawful personal information and a valid and lawful way to contact you, and keep it up to date. You are solely responsible for any problem caused by information that is untrue, inaccurate or incomplete. You understand and agree that your account is for you alone, that the account belongs to us, and that you only have the right to use it. Without our written consent, you may not transfer, lend, rent, share or otherwise dispose of your account or your right to use it in any way. You must keep your account and password safe and are fully responsible for all activity under your account. If you sign in with a third-party account, you must comply with that third party's terms of service and are responsible for the security of that account; if the third party suspends or terminates your account, or stops offering sign-in, you may be unable to sign in to the service, and we are not liable for this. If you find your account has been used without authorization, please tell us right away; we are not liable for any loss caused by your failure to keep your account information safe. Guest data is tied to this phone and may be lost if you uninstall or switch phones, so we recommend signing up. We reserve the right to suspend, restrict or terminate your account in these cases: you violate any provision of these Terms; your account poses a security risk; the law requires it; or other cases where we consider such action necessary. After an account is terminated, you will not be able to access any content or data related to it. You have the right to delete your account at any time under "Account" in the app, which permanently closes your account and deletes the related personal data. Once an account is deleted, all data cannot be recovered.
3. User Conduct
When using the service you must comply with the laws of your country or region, respect public morals and good customs, and may not use the service for any unlawful or improper purpose. You may not do any of the following: post or spread any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, invasive of others' privacy or racially discriminatory; impersonate any person or organization, or falsely state your relationship with any person or organization; post false, misleading or fraudulent information; collect or store other users' personal data; record, upload or import a recording you have no right to make or provide, including recording a conversation you are not part of or recording others without a consent the law requires; take, upload or choose a photo or document you have no right to provide, including photographing someone else's ID, private documents or personal data without consent; disrupt or damage the normal operation of the service, including, without limitation, spreading viruses, trojans or malicious code; access the service's servers or networks without authorization; use any automated means to access the service; bypass, remove, alter, weaken or otherwise get around any technical protection measures we use, including quotas and limits; do anything that places an unreasonable or disproportionate load on the service's infrastructure; reverse engineer, decompile or copy the service; use the service for any commercial purpose unless we have given prior written permission; or engage in any other conduct we consider inappropriate. If you violate these rules, we may, depending on the seriousness, issue a warning, suspend the service or permanently ban your account, and we reserve the right to pursue legal liability.
4. Group Sharing
Once you join a group, group members can see shared tasks, task status and shared places. They cannot see where you are now. You decide whom to invite, so invite only people you trust. You are responsible for your interactions with other group members, and we are not liable for their actions or the content they create, nor for any dispute among group members.
5. AI Features
AI can misunderstand you or produce wrong results. Please check the preview before you create a task; you are responsible for its content. Meeting notes are what the AI produces after listening to a recording: it can miss content, mishear names or mix up who said what, and it can get an owner or due date wrong (especially an owner decided only by voice). They are not a transcript, and must not be treated as the official record of a meeting or as proof of any decision or commitment. Please check the owner and due date before you create tasks, and play back the original words when in doubt. Before you record or import a meeting recording, you must make sure you have the right to do so and, where the law requires, have obtained the consent of the other people in it; you are responsible for the recording and for the notes made from it. You can let the people assigned an action item view the whole meeting; please share only with people who should see it, and you are responsible for what you share. Turning a photo into to-dos is the result of the AI reading the photo: it can misread characters (especially messy handwriting), miss items, treat something already done as a to-do, or get a date wrong; it only helps you organize, and is not an official recognition or proof of what the photo says. Please check the title, date and owner against the original text shown from the photo before you create tasks. Before you take or choose a photo, you must make sure you have the right to do so and, where the law requires, have obtained the consent of the people in it; if the photo contains a child's or another person's personal data (such as a name or class), please judge for yourself whether it is appropriate to upload, and you are responsible for the contents of the photo. Meeting notes use a quota based on the length of the recording, turning a photo into to-dos shares the same AI quota as parsing a sentence, and the quota depends on your plan. See the Privacy Policy for how the data you send is handled.
6. Reminders
Reminders rely on your phone's notifications, location and system services, and are affected by phone settings, battery, network and system limits. They may be late or not arrive. If you turn off location permission, place-based reminders will not work. Syncing to your phone's calendar and watch is subject to the same system limits and may be late or differ from what is in the app; please treat the tasks in the app as the source of truth. We do not guarantee that reminders will arrive on time. Do not rely on DoYours alone for emergencies, medical needs or personal safety.
7. Paid Services
We offer individual and group subscriptions. See the plans page in the app for what is included and the price. You can pay by the payment methods we accept, and you agree to comply with the terms and conditions of the relevant payment service provider. Subscriptions are paid through the Apple App Store or Google Play; unless you cancel before the current period ends, your subscription renews automatically and we will charge you the renewal fee. You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in the store's subscription settings and keep access until the period ends. Some plans include a free trial that turns into a paid subscription when it ends. Unless the law says otherwise, you agree that digital content of the service is considered complete once provided, and the seven-day withdrawal right under Article 19, Paragraph 1 of Taiwan's Consumer Protection Act does not apply. To request a refund, follow the rules of the store where you bought it (Apple App Store or Google Play). If you have any questions about a purchase, please contact us; in some cases we may handle refund requests at our discretion based on the circumstances. When a subscription ends, your group, its members and tasks are kept, but you can no longer assign new tasks or invite new members, and limits return to the free plan. We reserve the right to change plan prices at any time; we will notify you of price changes by appropriate means, and they do not affect purchases already completed or a subscription period already under way.
8. Privacy
We value your privacy. For how we collect, use, store, protect and disclose your personal data, please read the Privacy Policy. By using the service you agree that we collect and use your information as described in the Privacy Policy. In addition, to protect your control over your data (including, without limitation, the rights granted by the GDPR), you may ask to download your personal account data by emailing [email protected]. To keep data secure and the system running reliably, our management team will verify your identity and review the reasonableness of the request after receiving it. We will handle your request within the period required by law (usually 30 days); however, for requests whose identity cannot be verified, that are manifestly unfounded or excessively repetitive, or that may affect the normal operation of the servers or the rights of others, the administrators reserve the right to refuse that request or to charge a reasonable handling fee.
9. Intellectual Property and User Content
All content in the service, including, without limitation, software, code, interface design, trademarks, logos, graphics, images, text and combinations of them, is protected by copyright law, trademark law and other applicable laws. The intellectual property in that content belongs to us or our licensors. As long as you comply with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your personal, non-commercial use only. Except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms, we reserve all other rights. Without our prior written consent, you may not: copy, modify, adapt or translate any part of the service; reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise try to obtain the source code of the service; remove, obscure or alter any copyright notice, trademark or other proprietary mark in the service; or use any part of the service to create derivative works or competing products. If you give us any feedback, suggestions or comments, you agree that we may use, disclose, copy and modify them without restriction and without paying you anything. User content means anything you create or transmit through the service, including, without limitation, tasks, checklist items, notes, frequent places, group member nicknames, meeting recordings, photos and attendee names. You keep ownership of the user content you create, and you authorize us to store, process and display it for the purpose of providing the service, including passing it to third-party services that provide AI features. You are fully responsible for all user content you create, and you represent and warrant that: you own or have obtained all rights and licenses needed to create it; it does not infringe any third party's rights, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights or other rights; and it complies with these Terms and applicable laws. We have the right, but not the obligation, to review user content that has been reported or that appears to violate these Terms, and we reserve the right to remove any user content at any time and for any reason, including, without limitation, where we consider it violates these Terms, harms the reputation of the service or may expose us to legal liability. We are not responsible for the storage, backup or deletion of user content, and you should back up important content yourself. Copyright infringement complaints: DoYours respects the intellectual property of others. If you believe any user content in the service infringes your lawful copyright, please email [email protected] and provide proof of your rights and the location of the infringing content. After receiving an infringement notice that meets the legal requirements, we will promptly remove or block the content alleged to infringe, in order to meet the platform's obligations for limited liability.
10. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any express or implied warranty, including, without limitation, any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will run uninterrupted, on time, securely or without errors, that any error will be corrected, or that the results of AI parsing, meeting notes and photo to-dos will always be correct. The service may contain links to content, products or services provided by third parties, and relies on third parties such as Google and Apple for notifications, location, maps, speech recognition, account sign-in and payments. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, completeness or legality of any third-party content, products or services. You are responsible for your interactions with other users. We are not liable for the actions of any user or for user content, nor for any dispute between you and other users.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we and our affiliates, officers, employees, agents, partners and licensors are not liable for any of the following: any indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss; any loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data; any loss caused by using or being unable to use the service, including late or undelivered reminders and errors in AI parsing, meeting notes or photo to-dos; or any loss caused by the actions or content of any third party. In any case, our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you actually paid to use the service in the last twelve months or NT$1,000, whichever is higher. This limitation does not apply to loss caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow liability to be limited or excluded.
12. App Store Disclaimer and Third-Party Beneficiaries
These Terms are between you and the DoYours team only, not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC (the "App Stores"). We, and not the App Stores, are solely responsible for the service and its content. The App Stores have no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the service. You agree that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
13. Changes and Termination
We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend or stop the service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension or termination of the service. We may change these Terms from time to time. The changed Terms will be posted in the service and take effect on the date they are posted. Continuing to use the service means you accept the changed Terms. If you do not agree to the changed Terms, please stop using the service. We may terminate or suspend your access to the service at any time and for any reason, with or without notice, including, without limitation, where we consider you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including, without limitation, intellectual property, disclaimer and limitation of liability.
14. Third-Party Data Sources
The store location data in the service comes from open geographic data from OpenStreetMap, and we sincerely thank OpenStreetMap and everyone who contributes to open geographic data projects. OpenStreetMap attribution: "© OpenStreetMap contributors". The open geographic data used in the service is governed and protected by its own open license, including, without limitation, the Open Database License (ODbL v1.0). Weather forecast data comes from open data of Taiwan's Central Weather Administration. You agree to respect and comply with the licensing terms of this data when using the service.
15. Dispute Resolution and Contact
These Terms are interpreted, and any related dispute resolved, under the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). For any dispute arising from these Terms or the service, both parties will first try to resolve it through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, both parties agree that the Taipei District Court is the court of first instance. To the extent permitted by law, we reserve the right of final interpretation of these Terms. If any provision of these Terms conflicts with applicable law, the law prevails, without affecting the other provisions. These Terms may be provided in several languages; if the versions differ or conflict, the Traditional Chinese version prevails. For any questions, email [email protected].
